Z71 Off-Road Package Gets Updated for 2021 Suburban and Tahoe

February 14th, 2020 by

The upcoming all-new Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe will be completely refreshed inside and out for 2021, which means the beloved Z71 Off-Road package will also be updated.

One of the most noticeable updates to the Z71 Off-Road trim for 2021 — other than its promotion from package to trim level — are aesthetic. As the Suburban and Tahoe have a new look, it’s only fair that the Z71 offering includes appearance updates to complement the full-size SUVs’ new silhouettes. The Z71 trim has a unique front end that not only looks rugged, but also serves the functional purpose of providing extra ground clearance. Red tow-hooks and stylish Z71 badging tie the look together.

Of course, the Z71 trim is about more than just looks. Behind the all-new fascia is a strong skid plate to protect the Tahoe and Suburban from unexpected impact while off-roading. Additionally, the trim includes standard features like 4WD, a two-speed transfer case, 20-inch all-terrain tires, and hill-descent control. A brand-new optional four-corner air suspension system offers you three driving modes to adjust the vehicle height up to two inches to better handle craggy terrain.
