As two of the most compact SUVs in the Chevrolet SUV lineup, the 2021 Trax and the all-new 2021 Trailblazer share many common features. However, if you’re looking to buy a vehicle in this segment, it’s worth knowing what sets them apart. Here are the biggest differences between the 2021 Chevy Trax and Trailblazer.

What’s Under the Hood?

When you hop behind the wheel of the 2021 Chevrolet Trax, you know it will be powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. This is the only option available for the Trax.

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, on the other hand, gives you a choice between two engines. The first is a standard 1.2-liter turbocharged unit that’s slightly weaker than the Trax at 137 horsepower. If you want a bit more pep, upgrade to the ECOTEC® 1.3-liter engine, which puts out 155 horsepower.

Trim Levels

If you’re someone who likes to choose from a wide range of options, you’re sure to appreciate the Trailblazer’s five available trim levels, which give you a variety of luxury, technology and safety setups to configure to your needs. The Trax — while still packed with appealing features — only comes in two trim levels.

What’s Inside?

Both the 2021 Chevrolet Trax and Trailblazer offer comfortable seating for five, 60/40-split second-row seats, and tech features like built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspots. However, the Trailblazer does provide more room than its smaller sibling — a maximum of 54.4 cubic feet as opposed to 48.4 cubic feet.

Despite their differences, the 2021 Chevrolet Trax and Trailblazer are both exceptional compact SUVs. To learn more about which one is right for your lifestyle, check out our online inventory or give us a call at Graff Chevrolet in Grand Prairie, Texas.
