What are some of the seatbelt and airbag warning lights I can see?
There are a few lights that could flash on your dashboard that deal with the seatbelts and airbags in your Silverado. These include the driver seat belt reminder, the front passenger seat belt reminder, the rear seat passenger seat belt reminder, the airbag readiness light, and the passenger airbag status light. The solution to most of these lights is to just make sure that everyone in your Silverado is buckled, with the seat belt actually clicking into place. As for the airbag lights, if you see a red airbag light, we recommend scheduling your Silverado for maintenance so our technicians can make sure that your airbags are working efficiently in the case of an emergency.

Another major light is the Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Light, and when this one appears, you should be pulling over and turning off your engine as soon as possible, since it means your Silverado is overheating. Something like a red “PARK” light simply means that your Electronic Parking Brake is on, however, if it stays on after you have turned your parking brake off, then it could be time for service.
